1. Basic Pager Functions
1.1 Control Buttons

Used to
read messages and to exit menus.

Used to navigate
up and down, or left and right through functions and messages.

Used to
display the Menu and to activate selections.
1.2 Turning your pager on
Press the Green button for
more than 3 seconds, then release. The display comes on then the screen goes
blank after a period of time. Note:
Pressing any button will bring up the standby display.
1.3 Turning your pager off
(1) Press the Red button
twice (only once if the display is already active).
(2) Press the Up arrow to
display “Turn Pager Off”.
(3) Press the Red button
twice.
2. Functions and
Settings
2.1 Using the Function Menu.
The Function Menu provides
access to the many features of your pager through the use of symbols and
prompts.
(1) Press the Red button once
or twice to display the Function Menu. A left-right arrow symbol flashes to
indicate the position of the cursor.
(2) Press the up or down
arrow to move the cursor within the Function Menu. As you move through the
Function Menu, the pager function symbols flash to indicate the location of the
cursor. To select a function press the Red button. To exit from the Function
Menu without making a selection, press the Green button.
Note: Some symbols may not
display on your pager, depending on your pager’s features and whether it has
any messages.
2.2 Setting the Zoom Level
Your pager has three zoom
levels which are in effect ONLY while reading messages. Zoom 1 is the smallest
characters but displays more text on the screen.
(1) From the Standby screen
press the Red button.
(2) Press the Up or Down
Arrow button until “Zoom 1, 2 or 3” is displayed on the screen.
(3) Press the Red button to
select that zoom level. To select another zoom level, repeat the process from
step 1.
2.3 Setting the Time & Date and/or Alarm
(1) From the Standby screen
press the Red button.
(2) Press the Up or Down
Arrow button until “Set Time and Alarm” is displayed on the screen.
(3) Press the Red button.
“Set Time” is displayed.
(3) The top line is the time,
the bottom line is the alarm, and a dot is flashing to the left of the time. If
you want to set the alarm, press the Red button so that the flashing dot is on
the bottom line. “Set Alarm” is displayed.
(4) Use the Up and Down Arrow
buttons to move the cursor left or right, press the Red button repeatedly to
increase the number value.
(5) When “24 hr” is flashing
(this is military time), press the Red button to select AM or PM if desired.
Notes: When setting the alarm
press the Red button while the bell is flashing to enable or disable the alarm.

To set a one-time alarm,
enter the date.
(6) Press the Green button
when finished.
2.4 Setting the Message Alert Mode
There are four alert modes:
Audible, Beep & Vibe, Vibrate Only, and No Message Alert (Silent)
(1) From the Standby screen
press the Red button.
(2) Press the Up or Down
Arrow button until “Choose Alert” is displayed on the screen.
(3) Press the Red button.
(4) Press the Up or Down
Arrow button to select the alert mode you would like.
(5) Press the Red button to
set.
2.5 Setting the Audible Alert type
There are ten different
audible alert choices.
(1) From the Standby screen press
the Red button.
(2) Press the Up or Down
Arrow button until “Choose Alert” is displayed on the screen.
(3) Press the Red button to
select.
(4) Press the Up or Down
Arrow button to scroll through the alert types. A description is displayed on
the screen and a sample is played.
(5) Press the Red button to
set.
2.6 Stopwatch
(1) From the Standby screen
press the Red button.
(2) Press the Up or Down
Arrow button until “Stopwatch” is displayed on the screen.
(3) Press the Red button to
select.
(4) Press the Up Arrow button
to start, stop, and restart. Press the Down Arrow button to reset.
(5) Press the Red button to
exit the Stopwatch.
2.7 Private Time
This feature allows you to
set a daily time period in which the message alert is silent, but the pager still
receives.
(1) From the Standby screen
press the Red button.
(2) Press the Up or Down
Arrow button until “Private Time” is displayed on the screen.
(3) Press the Red button to
select.
(4) Press the Red button to
enable or disable Private Time.
= Disabled C = Enabled
(5) Set the ON time and the
OFF time using the Up/Down buttons to move the cursor and the Red button to
increase the number value.
(6) Press the Green button
when finished.
Note: The ON time is when the
Private Time starts and the OFF time is when the pager returns to normal
operation.
3. Receiving and
Reading Messages
3.1 Receiving Messages
Your pager will store up to
19 personal messages. When a message is received, the pager will alert based on
the alert mode you have set, and the message will be displayed on the screen.
Press any button to stop the alert. The Standby screen displays a row of
triangles, each one representing an individual message. A solid triangle
indicates a message that has been read, a flashing triangle indicates an unread
message.
3.2 Reading Stored Messages
(1) From the Standby screen,
press the Up or Down Arrow button to select the message you want to read.
(2) Press the Green button to
read the message.
(3) While reading a message
you can press the Up or Down Arrow button to read the next or previous message.
3.3 Locking / Unlocking Messages
Up to 16 messages can be
locked to prevent accidental erasure. When a message is locked the standard triangle
is replaced by the lock symbol.
(1) While displaying a
message press the Red button. (You can also use the Up/Down buttons to select a
message location from the Standby screen and press the Red button).
(2) Use the Up/Down buttons
to select Lock Message (or Unlock Message if that message was previously
locked). Press the Red button.
3.4 Deleting an Individual Message
(1) While displaying a
message press the Red button. (You can also use the Up/Down buttons to select a
message location from the Standby screen and press the Red button).
(2) Use the Up/Down buttons until “Delete Message” is displayed.
(3) Press the Red button.
Note: Only unlocked messages
can be deleted.
3.5 Deleting All Messages
From the Standby screen press
the Red button.
(2) Use the Up/Down buttons
to select “Delete All Messages”.
(3) Press the Red button.
“Delete All Messages?” is displayed.
(4) Press the Red button to
confirm.
Note: Locked messages will
not be deleted.
4. Duplicate Message
If the same message is
received more than once, DUPLICATE MESSAGE is displayed at the beginning of the
new message. The new message replaces the older message and the time stamp
reflects the time the new message was received.
5. Low
When the battery is fully charged,
the battery indicator is totally black. As the charge on the battery is reduced
through use, the indicator will show less black area. When the charge level is
critically low, an audible alert will sound every four minutes.
6.
Your pager uses an internal
Lithium Ion rechargeable battery as its power source. Recharge the pager’s
battery using only the supplied AC charging station or connect the supplied
cord to any computer’s USB socket. A blue light on the face of the pager
indicates the battery is charging. A full charge is reached in approximately 12
hours.
